Adding a service to your site

Your content · Updated on 07 September 2026

Services are what a visitor reads to decide whether you do what they need. They are the second thing looked at after «what do you do», and the page where a vague description costs you the call.

The Services list in the console, with order, category and the edit actions.
Showcase → Services. The list shows the display order, the category and whether a service is featured.

Adding one

  1. Click New service, top right.
  2. Title: the name your clients use. «Site survey and quote», not «Preliminary advisory engagement».
  3. Description: what you do, for whom, and what the client ends up with. Three sentences are enough; a wall of text is skipped.
  4. Order: the smallest number appears first. Put the service you actually want to sell at 0.
  5. Save. The service is on your site immediately.

Content, beyond the description

The Content button opens a full page for that service: images, sections, details. Use it for the two or three services that deserve a real page, and leave the others to their description — an empty detail page reads worse than no detail page.

Categories, only if you have many

With four services, categories add a filter nobody uses. Above ten, they start to help. The Categories button is there when you get to that point.

Write the price only if it is stable. A price on a page ages badly, and a client who discovers a different figure in your quote remembers the page, not the quote.
